The clump of his boots is a lot louder in here, and the ceilings a lot lower, and Jack'd feel pretty damn claustrophobic if they weren't only gonna be on the damn thing for a little while.



...Well, hell, he feels sorta that way anyhow.

He argues, but he's got somethin' like a smile on his face.









"Bet Sallie'd like t'see you."

[jack_f_twist]

"Like to see her, too," and he smiles, content for the moment and forgetting the steel walls around them.

"'Specially if she's got more a that pie."

[e_delmar]

"Make some."

And that gets a laugh (and a cough, more coughs, Ennis' hand tightning into a ball when it don't stop).
